"Crocodile. An Extraordinary Event, or Passage within a Passage" is a work by a classic of Russian literature and one of the best world-class novelists F. M. Dostoevsky (1821–1881).
This story is written in a satirical manner that is not typical for the author. The criticism is directed at liberal-minded political circles and printed publications, with which Dostoevsky often discussed. There is an opinion that the arrows were fired towards N. Chernyshevsky.
