<p>Dr. Han Ling is a young scholar in the field of Human Rights. In January 2020, she received her PhD degree in the multidisciplinary course "Human Rights, Society and Multi-level Governance" at the University of Padova, where she spent almost years for the study of human rights. influenced by her childhood experiences, she has paid particular interests in women's and children's rights. In 2013 and 2014, she undertook an internship with the Committee on the Elimination of Discrimination against Women of the United Nations Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights where she increased her interest in international human rights institutions. The main research area of Dr. Han is child trafficking in China, which involves many other topics, including the right of children, women's rights, migration and refugees, and transnational organised crimes. Other research interests are, among others, international human rights institutions, international law and human rights law, human rights protection mechanisms, human rights and international relations, and human rights education. After her doctorate study, she spent two years at the Human Rights Centre "Antonio Papisaca" at the University of Padova, first as a collaborative researcher and then as a Postdoctoral researcher. During this period, her research focus was on the role of human rights in EU-China relations. She also undertook a number of duties such as teaching assistant, tutor, and event organiser. For personal reasons, she moves back to China in September 2022 and will start work as a lecturer at the Department of Law at Guangzhou University by the end of this year.</p>
